Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- For delivery roles:
- Deliver pizzas by car to customer doors within a designated area.
- Distribute flyers and door hangers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (for delivery roles).
- Access to an insured vehicle for delivery (for delivery roles).
- Navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate multi-story buildings or adverse terrain.
- Ability to:
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately (may use a calculator).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, writing, and telephone skills to process orders.
- Perform rapid, precise movements with hand-eye coordination (e.g., entering orders via keyboard/touchscreen).
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., when taking out trash or delivering orders).
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
- Hot surfaces/tools (e.g., ovens up to 500°F or higher) and sharp edges/moving mechanical parts.
- Sensory requirements:
- Talking/hearing on the phone and in person.
- Near/mid-range vision for in-store tasks (e.g., reading orders).
- Depth perception and ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces.
- Far/night vision for driving (for delivery roles).
- Temperament:
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, and handle stress.
- Meet strict quality control standards and deal with people professionally.
- Analyze/compile data and make judgments/decisions.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position (work surfaces 36"–48" high).
- Walking: Short distances/durations (e.g., between store and delivery vehicle).
- Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting:
- Unload bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck; stack onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carry large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), or trays of dough (12 lbs per tray).
- During delivery, carry pizzas and beverages while walking/climbing.
- Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs).
- Climbing: Navigate stairs/ladder for maintenance or deliveries (up to 5+ flights).
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station (30–45 seconds at a time, repeated).
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously up, down, and forward (e.g., turning oven controls, stocking ingredients).
Tools and Equipment
- Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment.
- Pizza-specific tools: cutter, peel.
