Responsibilities

• Operate all store equipment and stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and workspaces.
• Prepare product, receive and process telephone orders, and take inventory.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• For delivery drivers: Deliver pizzas and other products to customers within a designated area, including navigating multi-story buildings and adverse terrain.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers to customer locations.
• Perform tasks requiring standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, and driving.
• Use navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
• Handle monetary transactions, including making correct change.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle for delivery purposes.
• Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Navigational skills to handle adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
• Basic math skills for handling monetary transactions and inventory.
• Motor coordination for rapid and accurate movements, including the use of a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, both inside and outside the store.
• In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in work areas.
• Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and sharp or hot surfaces (e.g., ovens up to 500°F or higher).
• Cramped quarters, including walk-in coolers and tight workspaces.
• Tasks requiring near, mid-range, and far vision, as well as night vision for driving.
• Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces and perform repetitive tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
• Walking: Short distances for short durations, including between the store and delivery vehicle.
• Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Up to 50 pounds, including cases of ingredients and supplies, trays of pizza dough, and pizzas during delivery.
• Carrying: Items such as large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray).
• Pushing/Pulling: Trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force.
• Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders for maintenance or delivery to multi-story buildings.
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist for tasks such as pizza assembly and stocking ingredients.
• Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally required for stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.
• Reaching: Continuously required for tasks such as obtaining ingredients, cleaning, and operating equipment.
• Hand Tasks: Frequent use of hands for shaping dough, using tools (e.g., pizza peel, cutter), and assembling boxes.
