Responsibilities

• Coordinates completion of Service Plans for Assisted Living residents with the Assisted Living Manager.
• Observes each resident at least every 45 days.
• Assures accuracy and completeness of the medical record.
• Reviews the Assisted Living Manager’s assessment of residents.
• Coordinates and participates in family/resident service plan conferences.
• Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.
• Assures appropriate delegation of nursing tasks.
• Serves as a staff nurse when staffing levels necessitate in order to meet the needs of the residents.
• Responds to emergency calls as necessary.
• Ensures notification of physician and family of changes in resident’s condition.
• Attends in‑service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
• Participates in the monthly Quality Assurance meeting.
• Participates in the nurse manager weekend on call program.

Qualifications

• RN currently licensed by the State of Maryland.
• Current CPR certification.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Completion of a Maryland approved Delegating Nurse for Assisted Living course.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test, employment references, and proof of vaccination or immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.
