Defense Strategic Debriefing Course (DSDC) Instructor-2

Contract training support for the HT-JCOE Defense Strategic Debriefing Course (DSDC). Training may be required on nights, holidays, and weekends as dictated by the published schedule.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate satisfactory proficiency for all tasks and sub-tasks on which students will be evaluated.
• Apply advanced instructional methods and adult learning models during platform instruction, small group instruction, individual instruction, long-distance learning, mentorship, and coaching.
• Provide research support to students during performance-based practical exercise planning and preparation.
• Provide instructor surge support to meet increased student throughput requirements.
• Assign contract instructors to meet training schedule requirements for HT-JCOE courses.
• Participate in instructor after-course reviews and provide verbal/written input.
• Assist the Government in writing, reviewing, and updating Training Support Packages (TSP) for Programs of Instruction (POI), including lesson plans, student handouts, instructor handouts, job aids, discipline guides, and other related products. All TSPs must be saved in government-designated locations and are government property.
• Prepare the Annual Lesson Review Worksheet (J7 Form) for assigned lesson plans and upload the signed form to the J7 SIPR SharePoint location.
• Provide training evaluation for HT-JCOE courses, including:
  • Assessing student performance and recommending remedial training strategies.
  • Implementing approved remediation strategies and documenting remedial training.
  • Developing and administering government-approved test and evaluation materials.
  • Performing test grading analysis and administering tests in accordance with course SOPs.
  • Accurately evaluating student knowledge, performance, and proficiency on lesson, role, and course content.
  • Safeguarding test and evaluation materials per course SOPs.
• Prepare and maintain classroom/training venues and materials for small group instruction prior to conducting a class, complying with command supply discipline programs.
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating training course live environment scenarios, including historical data, political, economic, military, societal, intelligence, and infrastructure details. All material is government property.
• Prepare, review, and update culturally accurate, realistic role-playing materials with lifestyle details, deducible motivations, and in-depth, current relevant technical, geo-political, and strategic information. All material is government property.
• Provide input to the development of comprehensive risk analyses for non-traditional training exercises, including completing DD Form 2997, Deliberate Risk Assessment Worksheet, and complying with established risk reduction measures.
• Prepare and maintain student records for up to 52 students simultaneously, including gathering, collecting, recording, tracking, and verifying data, as well as digitizing and archiving training records.
• Assist in counseling students in accordance with respective course SOPs and maintain student counseling records.

Requirements

• Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance).
• Graduate of the Defense Strategic Debriefing Course (DSDC).
• Minimum four years of HUMINT collection experience, with at least two years conducting strategic debriefing operations.
• Operational experience in strategic debriefing within the last five years (for newly hired training specialists).

Pay

$67,000 - $100,000 (varies based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws).
