About the Role

The Production Supervisor will provide direction and coordinate all productive resources available in the Defense manufacturing process at the Greensburg location. This individual will lead non-exempt direct production and technician reports to meet established production standards, goals, and objectives, including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and other key performance indicators according to Hyperion standards.

The majority of time will be spent on the production floor, helping assign priorities, allocate resources, hire and train operators on CNC grinder setup and operation, inspect finished parts, and support production flow for Defense parts. The Supervisor will manage and coordinate productive resources to ensure compliance with manufacturing programs, quality, cost, and safety standards, while fostering a positive working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the health and safety of the workforce and comply with Hyperion policies and applicable governmental EHS regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure all activities align with company values and current policies.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor team performance, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and other applicable metrics.
  • Execute and supervise production programs for assigned teams.
  • Distribute workloads between sections and shifts, assigning tasks based on worker abilities.
  • Hire, train, and develop new employees during growth periods.
  • Ensure proper administration and use of consumer materials.
  • Propose optimizations in operations and procedures.
  • Encourage and motivate the team to achieve manufacturing objectives.
  • Control and monitor the optimal performance of equipment, machines, and personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA regulations.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in business or engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading, supervising, or coordinating production teams in a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, lean thinking, and statistical process control skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to manage resources and workflow effectively.
  • Ability to work a shifted schedule when required to train and develop direct reports.
  • Knowledge of M3 ERP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
  • Dynamic, methodical, and organized with strong leadership skills and a team orientation.
  • Analytical, decisive, and autonomous with the ability to lead change.
