Production Supervisor

LSI ADL Technology is an Electronics Manufacturing Services company based in Columbus, Ohio, producing Circuit Board Assemblies, Box Build, and Cable Assemblies for the Industrial OEM and Lighting markets. Production work includes Surface Mount Technology Lines, Wave Solder Machines, Potting Machines, Wire Processing equipment, manual assembly, conformal coating, and testing. The facility also includes an Inventory Control team responsible for Receiving, Shipping, and Materials management.

About the role

Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday | 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM

The Production Supervisor oversees and manages production shift employees, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. This collaborative role requires strong organizational, follow-up, and communication skills and reports to an assigned Group Leader.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Trains and manages production employees on the assigned shift.
• Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Ensures accurate employee time record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Oversees production operations on assigned shift.
• Ensures proper staffing for efficient operations.
• Ensures production is performed within specification requirements, customer expectations, and production targets in a safe and effective manner.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Delivers training for new processes or equipment and assists with training new employees.
• Troubleshoots issues that arise.
• Reviews daily production records to identify trends or potential performance issues.
• Notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
• Ensures employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production processes, tools, and machinery.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, provide tactical supervision, and effectively delegate prioritized work assignments.
• Effective communication with co-workers and management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior supervisory experience.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to traverse the production facility.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
