About the role

The Decommissioning Team processes and facilitates large scale legacy Data Center equipment through a liquidation process to ensure targeted equipment is ready for removal. They also process large volumes of customer media to ensure all media is sanitized and managed properly. Team members are accountable for equipment throughout the process to maintain high standards. Technicians work in a team environment, communicating and promoting cross-team functionality.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technical issues brought by the customer base, engaging other teams when necessary to drive resolution.
• Show a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Solve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.
• Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in cramped and/or elevated locations.
• Maintain service level agreements through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting.
• Improve effectiveness through process innovation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+ certification.
• 1+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
• Hard drive installation and removal, and basic networking removal/installation and clearing of configurations.
• Previous experience migrating and decommissioning of data center assets.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks without fault.
• Adherence to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Pay

Base salary range: $30.00 - $54.00 USD hourly.
