Dean of Students - Elementary
Qualifications Required
- An Ohio Elementary Principal License
- A Current Ohio Teaching License
- A minimum of three (3) years of classroom teaching experience
Desired
- A commitment to working with students, professionals and community members in a multi-cultural setting
- Knowledge of positive behavior supports and discipline procedures
- A knowledge of and commitment to the philosophy of involving school-level employees in a process of site-based decision-making
Position Description
Assists the principal in the general administration of the school
Temporarily assumes the responsibility of the principal when so directed
Assists with administering school regulations regarding attendance
Assists in leading school climate initiatives
Assists with ordering supplies, books and equipment, conducting inventories and maintaining records
Assists the principal in completing school forms for central office and State Department of Education
Confers with non-professional staff on matters that relate to the daily operation of the school
Assists the principal with staff meetings
Promotes effective community relationships
And reports to and carries out any other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal
