About the Role

Jersey College is an institution of higher learning dedicated to excellence and innovation in nursing education, offering pathways for professional growth. The Dean of Nursing oversees the entire nursing curriculum and faculty, providing leadership in academic and fiscal administration of the nursing programs.

Responsibilities

• Faculty oversight, including staffing, onboarding, workload assignment, and development
• Curriculum implementation and management, including development of Jersey College’s philosophy, program outcomes, and course objectives
• Change management and direct authority for fiscal and academic administration of nursing programs
• Supervision of clinical and instructional activities
• Management of exams and standardized testing
• Coordination of faculty schedules with the Dean of Nursing
• Participation in weekly management meetings and communication of student progress, faculty/student issues, and educational changes
• Financial oversight of nursing programs
• Performance of other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
• Current license in the state as a registered professional nurse
• 2+ years of experience in education
• Ability to maintain and report on student information and track record of achieving goals
• Exceptional student/customer service, listening, and teamwork skills
• Outgoing, approachable style with a passion for helping students succeed
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
