About the role

The Dean, College of Nursing at St. Joseph’s College of Nursing is responsible for guiding nursing education and representing the college to academic and professional communities.

Responsibilities

  • Guides nursing education towards future goals with a shared vision and transparent collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Serves as the chief administrative officer, overseeing the operations and administration of the College of Nursing.
  • Creates and articulates a clear vision and leadership necessary to accomplish the college’s strategic plan.
  • Manages the operational and capital budget, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Develops and manages educational programs, maintaining accreditation standards and fostering innovation.
  • Represents the college to external stakeholders and ensures alignment with the mission and values of St. Joseph’s Health.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in nursing or related field.
  • Master’s degree in nursing or related field with at least five years of progressive experience in nursing education and academic leadership.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York state.
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations/laws as they pertain to health care and nursing education.
  • Experience in developing and managing the operational and capital budget.
  • Broad-based knowledge of college-related regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Specialized knowledge and skills in nursing education, curriculum design, and program development and evaluation.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree required.
  • Master’s degree in nursing or related field with at least five years of progressive experience in nursing education and academic leadership.

Pay

$155,168 - $204,776 annually, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Schedule

The Dean, College of Nursing works full-time with a day shift schedule.
