DCW, Direct Care Worker

About the role

Join BAYADA’s personal care and companionship team as a Home Health Aide (HHA), Direct Care Worker (DCW), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in Lancaster County. You’ll provide one-on-one support to adults, helping them stay safe and independent at home while developing close relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Follow a written plan of care by a registered nurse to provide personal care services, household support, and companion care.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Provide household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Support range of motion exercises and ambulation (transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices).
• Provide medication reminders.

Requirements

• Previous home health care or patient care experience welcomed but not required (training provided).
• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others.
• Commitment to being present and providing quality care.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
• Commitment to delivering patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
