DCW, Direct Care Worker

About the role

Join BAYADA’s personal care and companionship team as a Home Health Aide (HHA) in Berks County, serving patients within the ACSP Division. You’ll provide one-on-one support to adults, helping them stay safe and independent at home by following a written plan of care created by a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, and more.
• Provide household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Support range of motion exercises and ambulation (including transfers and use of mechanical lifting devices).
• Provide medication reminders.
• Deliver compassionate, reliable, and high-quality care—The BAYADA Way.

Requirements

• Previous home health care or patient care experience welcomed but not required (training provided).
• Passion for caregiving and a genuine desire to help others.
• Commitment to being present and providing quality care.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
