DCW- Direct Care Worker

About the role

BAYADA is seeking Home Health Aides, Direct Care Workers, Personal Care Aides, and Certified Nurse Aides to serve patients in Media PA through BAYADA’s ACSP Division. You will support clients with activities of daily living, household support, and companion care.

Responsibilities

• Follow a written plan of care by a registered nurse
• Provide personal care services, household support, and companion care
• Support clients with activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, meal preparation and feeding, range of motion/exercises, assisting with ambulation, medication reminders

Requirements

• Previous home health care or patient care experience is welcomed, but not required. Training will be provided.
• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others.
• A commitment to being present and providing quality care.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to travel to clients' homes as assigned.

Qualifications

• Passport (if traveling internationally)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Current CPR certification
• Current First Aid certification
• Current Pennsylvania State Criminal Background Check
• Current Pennsylvania State Child Abuse Clearance
• Current Pennsylvania State Sex Offender Registry Clearance
