DCR Aircraft Technician A

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Dynamic Component Repair Technician to join our DCR team based in Grand Prairie, TX. The role involves trouble shooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft dynamic systems.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble Aircraft Components
• Rework parts for the Overhaul process
• Inspect parts for continued airworthiness
• Assembles parts for repair or overhaul

Requirements

• A minimum of four (4) years of mechanical skill experience
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant License preferred but not required
• Read, write, and understand the English language
• Citizenship: Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings
• DailyHearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms
• DailySpeaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications
• DailyEquipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts
• DailyCarrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
• DailyLifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
• DailyPushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools
• DailySitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer
• DailySquatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving
• DailyStanding: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor
• DailyTravel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Possible once or twice a year
• DailyWalking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces

Pay

Competitive base salary with potential for incentive compensation.
