Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft assembly, modification, installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of UAV systems and components.
- Route, secure, install, and inspect electrical wiring, cable harnesses, tubing, and associated hardware throughout aircraft structures in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Assemble and install aircraft electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems.
- Install and test actuators, landing gear systems, fuel system components, avionics equipment, and engine support systems in accordance with standardized work instructions.
- Perform cable routing, hardware installation, airframe assembly, and integration of aircraft system components.
- Build and assemble spare parts, subassemblies, and support equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, multimeters, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Perform continuity checks, basic electrical troubleshooting, inspections, and functional testing to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Accurately document work performed and record test results as required.
- Work effectively within a team environment to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail while completing tasks within established labor standards and schedules.
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support field operations and aircraft deployments as required.
Qualifications
- Typically requires associate's degree or equivalent with two or more years of experience.
- May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with common software applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift, move, and work around aircraft components and support equipment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
