About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior Dynamic Component Repair Technician to join our DCR team based in Grand Prairie, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Train, guide, and teach assigned technicians regarding techniques of work performance within assigned area.
  • Meet the team: Focuses on quality, productivity, and efficiency in building and servicing the next generation of aerospace.
  • Support section lead and supervisor, providing technical support and expertise to the section technicians.
  • Rework parts for the Overhaul process.
  • Inspect parts for continued airworthiness.
  • Assemble parts for repair or overhaul.

Requirements

  • A minimum of six (6) years of mechanical skill experience.
  • Proven ability to provide basic leadership to lower level technicians.
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Powerplant License is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Onsite: More than 90% Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • DailyHearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • DailySpeaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • DailyEquipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • DailyCarrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • DailyLifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • DailyPushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • DailySitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • DailySquatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • DailyStanding: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
  • DailyTravel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Possible once or twice a year.
  • DailyWalking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • DailyPersonal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site.
