About the role

As a puller, you will be responsible for using equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to retrieve and consolidate freight in the distribution center. Pullers retrieve warehouse orders and move them to the proper induction lanes so the cargo can go to the stores. They also locate warehouse locations to put away inbound freight so that it can be later retrieved to send to the stores.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external customer support while assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
• Actively participate in learning initiatives such as training programs, workshops, and seminars.
• Use an RF scan gun to scan cases, master loads, and locations as needed.
• Ensure freight is going to the proper location.
• Check and maintain proper documentation in the warehouse management system.
• Accurately follow various inbound, outbound, and freight relocation operations processes.
• Ensure freight is stacked securely before moving the pallet.
• Meet quality and production KPI goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least one year of warehouse/manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to operate aligned with the People Promise, which includes having a positive and passionate attitude for and commitment to Rural King initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
• Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
