DC Puller

About the role

As a puller in our distribution center, you will use equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to retrieve and consolidate freight. You will retrieve warehouse orders and move them to the proper induction lanes for store delivery, as well as locate warehouse locations to put away inbound freight for later retrieval. Your role is vital in ensuring efficient operations and supporting our stores and communities.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and consolidate freight using warehouse equipment (e.g., cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts).
• Move warehouse orders to induction lanes for store delivery.
• Locate and put away inbound freight in designated warehouse locations.
• Use an RF scan gun to scan cases, master loads, and locations as required.
• Ensure freight is directed to the proper location and maintain accurate documentation in the warehouse management system.
• Follow inbound, outbound, and freight relocation processes accurately.
• Stack freight securely before moving pallets.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly quality and production KPI goals.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of warehouse/manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and alignment with Rural King’s People Promise.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
• Proven track record of producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new environments, responsibilities, and tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds at times.
