DC Operations Manager - Outbound

Responsibilities

Aid the Distribution Center Manager in overseeing all outbound operations of a single distribution center, including service, physical assets, operating costs, and team members.

Ensure compliance with company operations, policies, and procedures daily.

Maintain payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, productivity, and other aspects of all outbound operations.

Provide training, guidance, and counseling to outbound team members as needed.

Manage a staff of 1-15 supervisors and up to 300 hourly team members.

Establish and support annual goals for all outbound departments and develop plans to achieve these goals.

Collaborate with the Distribution Center Manager and Human Resources to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices for all team members.

Prepare and oversee the annual operating budget, monitor expenditures within the department, and coordinate with the Distribution Center Manager for approval on any expenditure.

Obtain approval for all expenses exceeding $1,000.

Create and maintain a safe working environment, actively managing risks and related costs.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and people skills
  • Above average computer skills
  • Two or more years of previous experience as a distribution center supervisor
  • Proven ability to manage multiple departments within one distribution center
  • Desired college degree or logistics certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Pay

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
