DC Materials Handler

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of job functions associated with maintaining inventory integrity and availability throughout the distribution center by proper handling of product.
• Carry out tasks as required by DC leadership, especially in a designated area (e.g., Inbound, Outbound, Quality Assurance).
• Research inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain clean and neat work areas, including cleaning up spills that occur during job duties.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Serve as a trainer if experienced, taking ownership of the DC target training program to ensure training is conducted on schedule and documentation is completed.
• Train team members on specific job duties/functions and communicate departmental or procedural changes.
• Operate safely and remain vigilant for unsafe practices or situations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by DC Management.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Must complete and pass a company-standardized test.
• Ability to work closely and collaboratively with others.
• Ability to read and match numerical and alpha characters quickly and accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Desired experience in a warehouse environment.
• Alphanumeric stocking or RF-directed stocking experience.
• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
