DC Lead, Receiving
A Brief Overview
The DC Lead will ensure the department's workflow and processes are to maximum standard for business needs. The incumbent will be a leader amongst the team; set the example of expectations and productivity, supports team members to improve individual performance and ensure company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are adhered to.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Support the work assignments of the employees and ensure the workflow of the functional area is efficient
- Process orders for distribution within functional area
- Works with supervisor to ensure the department is properly staffed
- Troubleshoot inefficiencies of workflow and malfunctioning equipment when needed
- Ensures the work area is maintained according to safety and housekeeping standards and free from debris
- Maintains a high degree of visibility and accessibility to the DC supervisor to update on daily functions of the department

- Able to make decisions and consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Able to select the best learning strategies for teaching team members
What You'll Need
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years distribution experience required
- Computer skills: WMS, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
