Position Overview
The DC Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day functions of Human Resources while ensuring confidentiality is maintained in all aspects of their responsibilities. This position is responsible for candidate flow, hiring, and onboarding.
Primary Responsibilities
- Administrative support of DC HR and Distribution to include maintaining reports, logs, and scheduling appointments.
- Aid in the hiring process to include prescreening applications, scheduling interviews, completing and mailing decline letters, input for background checks, and making job offers at the direction of the HR Manager.
- Conduct interviews for hourly Associates.
- Conduct new hire orientations and submit completed paperwork to payroll.
- Maintain Associate personnel files.
- Aid in time keeper/Kronos entries and processing DC payroll.
- Maintain attendance database and track documentation.
- Process evaluations, terminations, and status changes.
- Maintain and administer the job bid program.
- Administration of Olliewood program for the Distribution Center.
- Fill in for receptionist as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
- At least 2+ years of Human Resources/Recruiting experience.
- Prior Distribution Center staffing/HR experience preferred.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work with and influence senior management.
- Strong, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines.
- Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
- Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
- Ability to conduct phone screening for extended periods of time.
