Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall management of day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking in the kitchen.
• Cook is responsible for preparing meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs.
• Maintain children’s allergy list regularly.
• Weekly ordering and receiving all food supplies and replenishing dishware and cookware.
• Complies with all health regulations and the company’s best practices.
• Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule, including dishwashing, daily, weekly, and monthly duties.
• Occasionally required to prepare food for field trips, school-age programs, and community events.

Requirements

• A high school diploma/GED equivalency.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Current Food Handler Certification or willing to get.
• Clear background checks and up-to-date health assessments.
• Ability to push, pull and lift to 45 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take initiative and problem-solve effectively.
