As a cook, you will assist in the overall management of day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking in the kitchen.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for cooking, baking, and food preparation
• Ensure safe food storage and disposal, including maintaining temperature logs
• Prepare meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs
• Maintain children's allergy list regularly
• Weekly ordering and receiving all food supplies and replenishing dishware and cookware
• Follow food portioning guidelines and maintain appropriate food inventory
• Comply with all health regulations and the company's best practices
• Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule, including dishwashing, daily, weekly, and monthly duties
• Occasionally required to prepare food for field trips, school-age programs, and community events
• Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time based on the needs of the daycare centers

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED equivalency required
• Valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
• Current Food Handler Certification or willing to obtain
• Clear background checks and up-to-date health assessments
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to take initiative and problem-solve effectively
