Day Youth Care Worker

About the role

Pompano Youth Academy is a residential commitment program for at-risk female youth. The program provides comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services, including individual, family, and group counseling. As a Youth Care Worker, you will help create a positive, safe, and supportive environment while building a career with growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of youth at all times
• Monitor and document youth behaviors
• Monitor and participate with youth during sports and recreation activities
• Assist and mentor youth as they learn and develop within the program

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
• Valid Driver’s License

Pay

$19 per hour. Eligible employees receive a $1,000 Essential Skills Training Incentive upon successfully completing required training within the first 90 days of employment.
