Day Shift Electrician

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance, testing, and process improvements on all mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems.
  • Rely on knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles to troubleshoot malfunctions to equipment and systems and repair and restore operation.
  • Work overtime as needed and fill in for absences on shift as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
  • Advanced experience using power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools.
  • Experience in performing advanced preventive maintenance procedures.
  • The ability to work with others in identifying and solving complex manufacturing problems.
  • The ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical, architectural, and mechanical diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of procedures to test for, locate, and repair electrical malfunctions.
  • The ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, electrical (incl power supplies, motor drives, & transformers), electronic (incl. programmable and numerical controls), and pneumatic equipment and systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles.

What will put you ahead

  • Advanced knowledge of production processes.
  • 2 years experience as an electrician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Associate's degree in electronics or related field.
  • Experience in maintaining compliance with local and national electrical code.
