Main duties and responsibilities
- Perform repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance, testing, and process improvements on all mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems.
- Rely on knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles to troubleshoot malfunctions to equipment and systems and repair and restore operation.
- Work overtime as needed and fill in for absences on shift as needed.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
- Advanced experience using power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools.
- Experience in performing advanced preventive maintenance procedures.
- The ability to work with others in identifying and solving complex manufacturing problems.
- The ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical, architectural, and mechanical diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
- Advanced knowledge of procedures to test for, locate, and repair electrical malfunctions.
- The ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, electrical (incl power supplies, motor drives, & transformers), electronic (incl. programmable and numerical controls), and pneumatic equipment and systems.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles.
What will put you ahead
- Advanced knowledge of production processes.
- 2 years experience as an electrician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Associate's degree in electronics or related field.
- Experience in maintaining compliance with local and national electrical code.
