Electrician - Day Shift

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Ensures all equipment is running safely and efficiently.
• Eliminates breakdowns through proactive troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems.
• Prepares work orders using a CMMS.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all site equipment.
• Supports Predictive Maintenance (PdM) functions where applicable.
• Reads and understands technical documents such as bulletins, manuals, instructions, and blueprints.

Work Summary

The Maintenance Electrician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager and is assigned tasks by the maintenance planner. They are expected to participate in team meetings, foster cohesion among team members, and attend appropriate meetings. They must also perform other duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Physical Activities

• Sit, stand, and walk regularly.
• Enter and locate information on a computer.
• Verify information visually, often in small print.
• Manually lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work in extreme temperatures, on feet for the entire shift.
• Work in cramped, enclosed, elevated, wet, dirty areas with high noise levels.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Steel toed shoes
• Ear plugs
• Hair net
• Hard hat
• Other PPE as required in the appropriate environment

Travel

Technical Experience

• Preference for 2-3 years of industrial maintenance electrical experience/skills.
• Working knowledge of governing Electrical Code and Safety requirements including NFPA 70E is required.

Industry Experience

Preference for food manufacturing organizations.

Minimum Education

A High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education

Some college and/or Tech School graduates.
