Industrial Electrician - Day Shift
Onsite, 1st shift position in Newton, Mississippi.
About the Role
The Industrial Electrician will provide support and installation for various types of equipment, including electrical work on compressors, motors, industrial electrical, and wiring systems. The role involves troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to minimize production impact and improve equipment reliability. Key qualities for success include the ability to learn new processes, work with integrity, operate with limited supervision, and possess a strong understanding of electrical or industrial mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install various components and electrical systems, including conduit, lighting systems, electric motors, and controls (single phase, 3-phase, and 24v systems).
- Read blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot AC/DC control circuits, and work with drives.
- Maintain and service 3-phase electrical systems, power distribution, MCC, lighting, and run conduit for device relocation or addition.
- Manage project work in a self-directed manner, ensuring safety, proactive problem-solving, and budget control for department projects.
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero-harm safety behaviors and contribute to a world-class safety culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as an electrician or equivalent technical trade.
- Associate's degree in industrial maintenance with a focus on electrical or electro-mechanical, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot control circuits, and work with industrial electrical systems.
