Day Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) *$3,000 Sign-On Bonus*

About the role

Normandy Nursing Center seeks compassionate and thoughtful Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who share our passion for exceptional care in senior living. We partner with a network of skilled nursing centers to support a small team environment of caring professionals with the resources of a larger enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises
• Movement to wheelchair or activity areas
• Ambulates residents for short distances within the facility
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services
• Maintains communication with residents and their families, and facility staff
• Communicates changes in residents' clinical conditions to the nursing team
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must pass a state-issued exam for CNA certification in Missouri
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Effective communication skills with residents and their family members, and facility staff
