About the role
The Day Program Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through various activities and services.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
- Provide individualized support to participants to enhance their independence and quality of life.
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop and maintain effective service plans.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Background check required.
Skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities and resources available.
