Day Mechanic Shop Helper– Full-Time

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of trucks and support equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shop and yard
• Prioritize multiple parts pick-up and deliveries
• Ability to respond to emergency pick-up and delivery
• Pays attention to details and observe safety precautions
• Able to identify correct parts, based on part number and shelf location
• Assist with inventory control
• Help technicians as necessary

Job Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Mechanical aptitude and industry experience preferred
• Moderate lifting - no greater than 40 lbs.; moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping
• No fine manipulation or fine manual dexterity required
• Able to stand for a full shift in addition to walking, climbing stairs and bending as required
• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures
• May be exposed to solvents, chemicals, and refuse
• May be exposed to other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and trucks-CDL related
