Day Habilitation DSP Team Leader (Full Time Position)

About the role

The Day Habilitation DSP Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in providing comprehensive support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement training programs for DSPs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Mentor and coach DSPs to improve their performance and professional development.
• Collaborate with other team members to provide individualized support plans for participants.
• Assist in the recruitment and hiring process for DSP positions.
• Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss team progress and address any issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities and their families.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of community resources and services available to individuals with disabilities.
• Experience in developing and implementing service plans.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
