About the role
Database Administrator responsible for analyzing data related to manufacturing and consumer ratios of insurance, drugs, and pharmacy products.
Responsibilities
- Create logical and physical database designs for DB2 UDB.
- Install, maintain, backup, restore, and troubleshoot database problems.
- Design RDBMS databases, write stored procedures, and develop SQL queries.
- Provide production support for DB2 UDB, including backup and recovery, replication, data movement, performance tuning, capacity planning, provisioning, space administration, and security role administration.
- Use data movement utilities such as IMPORT, EXPORT, LOAD, and DB2MOVE.
- Perform database administration tasks, including running reorg, runstats, import, export, Explain, db2advis, taking snapshots, checking memory, and performing backup and recovery using TSM and NetBackup.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Business, or a related field plus 1 year of experience as a Computer Software Professional.
- Alternatively, a 3-year bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of experience as a Computer Software Professional (BS equivalent).
- Job is based in Madison, WI with a 40% chance of relocation to unanticipated U.S. locations.
- No travel (domestic or international) required.
