Database Administrator
B&A is seeking a Database Administrator to support a federal government client in Northern Virginia. This is a full-time, on-site position contingent upon contract award (anticipated September/October 2026).

Responsibilities
- Design and develop database schemas and objects by interpreting data models, creating logical/physical structures using standard diagramming techniques, and implementing/troubleshooting database code and changes.
- Support operation of complex relational databases across Linux and Windows environments.
- Apply database security requirements and contribute to documented backup and recovery procedures.
- Analyze complex data and performance issues using logic, pattern recognition, and cost/benefit tradeoffs to deliver effective solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet service quality standards and customer needs.
Requirements
- Entry Level: 0-2 years of specialized experience
- Journeyman: 2-4 years of specialized experience
- Full Performance: 4-6 years of specialized experience
- Senior Level: 6-8 years of specialized experience
- Subject Matter Expert (SME): 8-12 years of specialized experience
- Active TS/SCI with an FS Poly adjudicated within the last five (5) years
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline.
- Relevant certifications in programming and development, cloud and infrastructure, architecture and design, or other related networking, cybersecurity, or technology disciplines.
Location
On-site in Northern Virginia.
Pay
Salary range: $100,000 – $200,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, certifications, security clearance, and contract funding.
