- Extensive hands-on experience administering IBM Db2 (LUW / distributed) production estates, supporting mission-critical workloads within tiered service expectations.
- Deep expertise in Db2 High Availability and Disaster Recovery operations, including failover readiness, replication/standby health, and DR execution aligned to strict recovery objectives.
- Proven ownership of Sev-1 / Sev-2 incidents, including rapid triage, service restoration, major incident bridge participation, and leading RCA with preventive actions.
- Advanced Db2 performance engineering skills, including SQL optimization, locking/concurrency troubleshooting, memory/buffer pool concepts, and capacity/growth forecasting.
- Demonstrated capability in backup, restore, and recoverability assurance, including restore testing, remediation of backup/restore issues, and audit-ready recovery evidence.
- Hands-on proficiency with enterprise monitoring and observability tooling such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Nagios, using telemetry to isolate DB vs app vs infra issues.
- Strong experience with DB/platform tools used in scope, including DBeaver, Toad, Foglight, and ITOC for administration, diagnostics, and operational consistency.
- Ability to analyze repetitive operational patterns (access, provisioning, backup/restore, patching, batch failures) and drive automation and standardization opportunities to reduce run effort.
- Experience operating in security- and compliance-driven environments, supporting access governance, audit logging, encryption expectations, and backup/DR compliance evidence.
