About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating advanced Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions within the Databricks platform. As a key contributor, you will work closely with Data Scientists, Product Teams, and Platform Engineers to deploy AI-driven solutions that enhance Claims Payment Integrity (PI) processes and other enterprise applications.

  • Create custom embeddings for domain-specific applications and document/text processing
  • Build and support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including semantic search and vector database integration
  • Implement vector databases and manage their performance and scalability
  • Develop agentic workflows utilizing LangChain for tools, agents, and memory management
  • Integrate AI solutions into enterprise systems, particularly focusing on Claims Payment Integrity processes
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Partner with Data Scientists, Product, and Platform teams to deploy and optimize AI models and pipelines
  • Experiment with and evaluate emerging ML and Generative AI architectures for continuous improvement
  • Optimize AI pipelines for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Contribute to the design and development of AI-powered enterprise applications
  • Mentor and support skill development for engineers and interns in AI/LLM techniques
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and security standards
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or AI/ML Engineer
  • At least 5 years of end-to-end experience in machine learning model development, including data preparation, feature engineering, training, and evaluation
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, and SQL programming languages
  • 3+ years of experience with Databricks and Spark ecosystem
  • 2+ years of experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI)
  • Hands-on experience creating custom embedding models and building RAG pipelines
  • Knowledge of vector databases, semantic search, and AI integration with LangChain for agentic workflows
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services for compute, security, and resource management
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Terraform
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams
  • Experience with actuarial, risk modeling, and forecasting is a plus
