Data Scientist

About the role

This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $194,834 – $194,834 annually.

Responsibilities

• Guide product recommendations and model development for internal stakeholders
• Develop and maintain predictive ML models to assess risks and opportunities in lending products
• Participate in end-to-end ML pipeline from data collection to model deployment, collaborating with engineers
• Conduct experimentation and causal inference analyses to optimize conversion rates
• Write code for inferential models and document modeling decisions using Confluence or GitHub
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate solution iteration and achievement of outcomes
• Present model impacts and insights, drafting recommendations for product and underwriting improvement

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field
• 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a related occupation
• 2 years designing and implementing ML models for underwriting, propensity, or collections applications
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and R for data analysis, modeling, and automation
• Experience in product analytics and experimental design, including A/B testing and causal inference
