Data Scientist (AHL)

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive analytics on strategic initiatives
• Access data, run analytics models, solve business problems
• Understand and influence the pillars of conceptual risk modeling
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
• Serve as a strategic thought partner for other members of the Data Science team

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience as a professional data scientist
• Excellent risk modeling and analytic skills
• Proficient coding skills in SQL and Python/R
• Experience developing BI dashboards using Tableau (plus)
• Keen eye for opportunities to get value from data
• Ambitious, resourceful, and possesses excellent judgment
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects at any given time
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter
• Educational background in a "hard" quantitative field (e.g. Math, Stats, Economics, Operations Research, etc.)
• Preferred: Experience in consumer lending domain, fintech lending environment, credit risk modeling, loss/prepayment forecasting, working with credit decisioning engines, capital markets and servicing businesses, loan-level economics, yield curves, margins/profitability, GCP environment, and a passion for fintech and agile environments

Pay

$140,000 - $160,000 + bonus + benefits

Schedule

Hybrid options in the San Mateo, CA and Phoenix, AZ metro market. In other locations, we offer work from home.
