About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data & Reporting Analyst to join our team and report directly to the Director of Quality Improvement. This pivotal role involves designing and developing advanced reporting systems, managing project plans to ensure timely delivery, and translating business and customer needs into actionable data strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with expertise in manipulating large datasets, analyzing trends, and providing insights to enhance operational efficiency and healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement strategies to achieve the goals of the reporting and data analysis unit
  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to support healthcare quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage project plans to ensure all deliverables are completed within scope, timeline, and quality standards
  • Understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions and recommendations
  • Develop and oversee the logical design of data marts and ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports to analyze costs, utilization, access, quality, outcomes, and membership trends
  • Interpret complex data sets and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders at various levels
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including state agencies, to support healthcare initiatives and reporting requirements
  • Ensure data validity, accuracy, and security across all reporting activities
  • Stay current with technological advancements and incorporate innovative approaches to data analysis and reporting
  • Represent PerformCare on committees and workgroups related to data and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in business and data analysis, preferably within healthcare or managed care sectors
  • Strong technical proficiency in SQL Server, Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI), VB, Access, Excel, and other database management systems
  • Proven leadership experience, including project management and providing strategic direction for reporting initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with management and stakeholders
  • Experience developing data marts, analyzing clinical and operational data, and identifying trends and patterns
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment
