Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex reporting solutions using T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Report Builder, and Power BI.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and scripts to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Develop and support SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes across multiple business systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable technical reporting solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance operational, financial, and executive dashboards utilizing Power BI, SSRS, and SQL-based reporting tools.
- Analyze and validate data from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex data, reporting, and system issues through technical investigation and data validation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in reporting processes and provide guidance on best practices for data analysis and reporting.
Skills & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or comparable work experience
- 5+ years of experience in a software engineering, development operations engineering, database administration, or product development role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL development and performance tuning
- Experience developing reports with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Report Builder
- Experience designing and supporting SSIS ETL packages and data integration processes
- Strong experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard development
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star schema design
- Experience working with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, or cloud-based data platforms is preferred
- Familiarity with source control, release management, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management principles
