About the Opportunity

The Data Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's data. This role supports the effectiveness of educational programs by implementing data quality standards, conducting audits, and collaborating with departments to maintain reliable data. The position contributes to informed decision-making and operational efficiency through rigorous data management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce data quality standards and procedures across the organization.
• Carry out regular data audits to identify and resolve issues such as inaccuracies and duplications.
• Collaborate with departments to comprehend data requirements and ensure accurate data capture.
• Create and maintain documentation for data standards, metrics, and procedures.
• Maintain oversight of data entry and management processes for compliance with guidelines.
• Analyze and report on data quality metrics to stakeholders with recommendations.
• Aid in cleansing and standardizing data sets for migration, reporting, and analysis.
• Provide training and support to staff on data quality best practices and tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data quality, data management, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
• Proficiency in data profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to explain complex data concepts.
• Experience with database management systems and knowledge of SQL is highly desirable.
• Experience in educational or non-profit organizations is an advantage.
• Alignment with the institution's mission and values.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

A competitive hourly rate of 25 to 35 USD per hour.
