Job Summary The Data Destruction Technician is part of the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) team and is responsible for the secure and safe destruction of client data. Operationally this includes data erasure using software or physical shred or destruction based on client commitments or asset condition for laptops, pcs, phones, servers, or network devices. You will also assist with the physical grading determining next steps for the equipment. Key Responsibilities Destroy DataErase or Shred HDDImage DevicesRecord condition and gradeInput all data into ERP Monitor Erasure SoftwareRecommendations and actions to improve the department and outcomesOffsite projects as appropriateOther duties as necessary and assigned Education And Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalentBasic computer skillsGreat communication skills, detailed-oriented, and consistentCollaboration in a team environmentPrevious warehouse experience preferredExperience with sanitizing / testing HDDs and SSDs preferredExperience troubleshooting issues with enterprise-grade information systems (servers, networking equipment, storage arrays, etc.), laptops, desktops, and mobile devices Physical Requirements May include standing for long periods of time, squatting, twisting, bending, and lifting between 10-50 lbs.
