About the role

The Data Coordinator supports the Data & Analysis department and the hospital's need for valid, quality data presented in useful and understandable formats. Responsibilities include managing hospital data, developing regular reports, providing data reporting expertise to committees and stakeholders, submitting data to external agencies, answering internal and external data requests, supporting the OSH Performance System, and coordinating data governance and information management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage hospital data and develop regular reports.
  • Provide data reporting expertise and support to committees and stakeholders.
  • Submit hospital data to external reporting agencies.
  • Respond to internal data requests from all levels of the hospital, including leadership, and external requests from legislative or media sources.
  • Support the OSH Performance System.
  • Support data governance and information management processes through program support, data quality assessments, and coordination with data stewards.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and one year of experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.
  • OR four years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports and experience using advanced statistical or quantitative analysis computer applications.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with data and report development software such as SAP Crystal Reports, Power BI, Power Query, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Visual Studio, SAP Business Objects, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, work with large and complex data sets, quickly and accurately analyze data, and prepare data visualizations and written reports for lay audiences.

Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with and understanding SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Crystal Report development.

Pay

$5,193 - $7,968 per month. The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying range. If the successful candidate qualifies for PERS, the salary range will increase by 6.95%.

Schedule

This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position based in Salem, Oregon.

Employment is contingent upon a criminal records check that meets OHA criteria at the time of hire and throughout employment. This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
