Data Center Technician (Networking)

About The Role

Our client is seeking to hire Data Center Cable Technicians to support mission-critical operations in a large-scale data center environment. This role focuses on structured cabling, rack-and-stack work, hardware installation, and connectivity troubleshooting. Ideal candidates thrive in hands-on technical environments and have strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, SM/MM fiber).
• Terminate and test patch panels, jacks, connectors, and structured wiring.
• Perform rack and stack of servers, network switches, PDUs, and related hardware.
• Route cabling through ceilings, raised floors, ladder racks, trays, and structured pathways.
• Execute precise cable management and maintain neat, organized racks.
• Assist with hardware deployments, including server racking, circuit board installation, and tray builds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, or data center environments.
• Experience with rack and stack of IT hardware (servers, network gear, PDUs, etc.).
• Familiarity with cable testing tools and cable certification processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
