About the role
The Infrastructure Operations team is looking for cleared Data Center Technicians to join our expanding team. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolvers who troubleshoot and solve a range of datacenter infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. Your work will help maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.
This position requires that the candidate be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Engage in physical data center activities with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
- Planning and tracking capacity
- Rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning
- Perform tasks requiring physical activity, such as:
- Lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds each
- Working in cramped and/or elevated locations
- Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
- Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
- Working in a noisy environment
- Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays
- Take ownership of technical issues, engaging other teams as needed to drive resolution
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, addressing issues at their root
- Maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection and reporting
- Act decisively in the absence of direction or support
- Improve effectiveness through process innovation
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+ certification
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Associate's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional or military experience
- 2+ years of experience with server hardware
- 1+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems
- Active Security+ certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days of start
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional or military experience
- Hands-on experience with hardware platforms (e.g., Dell, HP)
- Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications
- Previous experience working in a Data Center environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment)

Pay
Starting pay for this position ranges from $33.36 to $58.41 USD hourly, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
