About the role
The Data Center Operations (DCO) team is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting the IT hardware used in Amazon's data centers.
Key job responsibilities
- Server Repair – Troubleshooting hardware failures, identifying root causes, and repairing or replacing failing components
- High Impact Event Response – Responding to network failures (e.g., link outages, rackdowns), and high-priority hardware repairs
Basic qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience
- Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
Preferred qualifications
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting
Pay
USA, CA, Gilroy – 32.16 - 56.29 USD hourly
