Data Center Physical Security Manager, DC Security Americas Southwest

About the role

AWS’ Infrastructure Physical Security Team is seeking a Data Center Security Manager with experience in critical infrastructure installations, particularly data centers. This role involves leading operational security across multiple facilities, driving security awareness, overseeing vendors, and advising on security strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operational security across a data center campus
• Drive security awareness campaigns to enhance vigilance and effectiveness
• Experience with workflow ticketing and performance metrics extraction
• Lead security investigations across campus facilities
• Oversee physical security vendors providing guards, electronic security systems, door construction/repair, fencing, and access controls
• Transform overarching security strategy into daily tactics to align with management goals
• Oversee security construction projects
• Provide security awareness training to data center personnel

Requirements

• 4+ years of security-related professional experience
• 4+ years of project management experience
• 4+ years of Microsoft Office tools experience
• 3+ years of process improvement procedure creation experience
• 4+ years experience in working with security vendors and contractors

Qualifications

• 4+ years of work in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans
• 3+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors
• 2+ years of root cause analysis and process design experience
• Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion systems
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent professional experience in corporate or government security environment
• 2+ years experience creating and implementing emergency planning programs and physical security countermeasures
• Familiarity with security program automation and implementation

Skills

• Experience with workflow ticketing and performance metrics extraction
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD annually.
