Responsibilities

  • Assist in Data Center Operations: Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure systems, including cooling systems, power distribution, and environmental controls.
  • Support in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues related to network and server equipment.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance and updates, following established procedures.
  • Assist in conducting regular audits of data center assets and inventory.
  • Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor network performance and respond to alerts in a timely manner.
  • Help maintain network security protocols, including monitoring access logs and enforcing security policies.
  • Support network testing, ensuring system integrity and availability.
  • Facility Management Support: Assist in data center cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols.
  • Support the documentation and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other relevant documentation.
  • Participate in the maintenance of fire suppression, HVAC, and other critical systems within the facility.
  • Work closely with data center operations staff to learn best practices and operational procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge of data center management and operations.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned, including data analysis and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college, either at the undergraduate or master’s level.
  • One semester post-graduation.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
