Data Center Manager - Cheyenne, WY

About the Role

As the Data Center Manager, you will be the on‑site leader responsible for the operational excellence of CoreWeave’s facility. This is a 100% onsite role where you will guide a team of technicians through hardware diagnostics, physical repairs, and new equipment installations while developing and implementing best practices to maximize uptime. You will serve as the key point of contact for all on‑site activities, responding to technical emergencies and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to ensure a best‑in‑class experience for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data center technicians in daily operations, including server maintenance, equipment installation, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement best practices for data center operations to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to support client projects and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Perform regular inspections and audits of data center equipment to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
• Respond to and resolve technical issues and emergencies promptly, minimizing downtime and disruption.
• Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge of data center operations.
• Collaborate with management to develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve data center performance and scalability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• In‑depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and cooling systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Experience with data center management tools and software.
• Excellent time management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with the Linux operating system.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in elevated locations (reasonable accommodations provided).
• Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including on‑call rotations and after‑hours support.
• Quick decision‑making ability and adeptness at task prioritization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands‑on or education‑based experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• 5+ years of data center experience.
• Computer networking experience.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or equivalent are a plus.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $105,000. Starting salary will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to base salary, the total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (eligibility based).
