Location: Westmont, IL 60559 (Onsite from day one)
Duration: 6+ months
Type: W2 contract

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 operational support for overall infrastructure and datacenter operations, including servers, storage, networking, racks, and related equipment.
  • Perform 100% hands-on datacenter activities: server and rack management, fiber and copper cabling, hardware installation, decommissioning, break/fix, and related physical infrastructure tasks.
  • Rack, stack, cable, install, decommission, and repair datacenter hardware such as servers, storage systems, backup equipment, routers, switches, firewalls, and other infrastructure devices.
  • Manage capacity planning for rack space, power, cooling, DC modular containment, and the monitoring tools and services required to support datacenter operations.
  • Handle incidents and service requests while adhering to contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinate with datacenter vendors for new installations, maintenance activities, and break/fix requirements.
  • Support project teams with new hardware installations, deployments, and equipment decommissioning.
  • Perform and coordinate datacenter monitoring and maintenance activities.
  • Analyze production operations and initiate corrective actions to maintain operational stability and ensure efficient workflows.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience managing datacenter operations within large and complex customer environments.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to operational processes and procedures.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and related tools).
  • Knowledge of operational tools and processes related to deployment, provisioning, monitoring, and performance measurement.
